Astar zkEVM mainnet is set to go live this month. A launch campaign dubbed “Yoki Origins” will commence immediately after the zkEVM mainnet Astar Network , a multi-chain smart contracts and Web3 infrastructure platform, has announced the mainnet launch of Astar zkEVM, a new Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. Astar zKEVM is a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine- compatible L2 powered by Polygon ’s Chain Development Kit (CDK). Popular in Japan and expanding across the globe, Astar Network, is the cross-virtual machine network that leverages Polygon and Polkadot technologies.  The platform revealed plans for the Astar zkEVM mannet launch last month, highlighting the benefits that compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts, toolset and wallets will bring to its growing community. Astar zkEVM to go live in late February According to Astar Network’s press release today, the new zkEVM L2 is expected to go live later this m...

A Shiba Inu alternative with greater growth than XRP, Polygon and Cardano

Shiba Inu has limited growth potential as compared to NuggetRush. With the Play-to-Earn gaming concept getting popular, NuggetRush has performed better than Shiba Inu rivals such as XRP, Polygon, and Cardano. With a strong presale generating more than $700K, NUGX is looking to continue its strong performance. Polygon Labs reveals updated web3 identification service

The Polygon project has launched the fifth version of Polygon ID, a service for identification in the web3 space. The tool allows dapps to verify user data without revealing their personal information. Polygon (MATIC) ID enables identity reuse and interoperability. Once the issuer provides the information to the owner, it can be reused indefinitely as long as it remains valid and is not withdrawn by the issuer, according to the blog statement. Identity data can also be shared with other parties under the W3C VC standard. The fifth version has increased the number and variety of available accounts. The developers added a new network issuer to the update , improvements for the issuer node, and a new credential marketplace. The new functionality simplifies the process and expands the possibilities for generating an account. In early March, Polygon released a web3 identity service called Polygon ID. With its help, users can confirm accounts without using personal information. Such...

NEAR and Polygon partner to innovate on zero-knowledge proofs

NEAR Foundation partners with Polygon Labs to develop zkWASM, a cutting-edge zero-knowledge solution enhancing interoperability and security for WASM chains. The NEAR Foundation, renowned for its contribution to the NEAR protocol’s ecosystem, and Polygon Labs, have announced a pioneering venture to create zkWASM—a zero -knowledge proof technology tailored for WASM-based blockchains. This collaborative effort was unveiled at NEARCON, the annual flagship event for the NEAR community, taking place in Lisbon. This strategic partnership promises to merge NEAR’s proficiency in WASM runtime with Polygon’s mastery of zero -knowledge scaling technologies. The initiative is designed to bridge NEAR Protocol with Ethereum, granting WASM chains access to Ethereum’s expansive liquidity. It also lays the groundwork for an interoperability layer currently in the works, enabling a shared liquidity pool across various blockchain landscapes, including alternative layer-1s and EVM layer-2...

Polygon Network Welcomes Google Cloud as a Validator

Tech giant Google Cloud is now participating as a validator node operator on the Polygon proof-of-stake blockchain network. Polygon and Google both announced this week that Google Cloud has joined the decentralized set of over 100 validators helping secure the Ethereum scaling platform. In a tweet, Polygon said that the network is now using the same infrastructure that powers Google services. These include the likes of Gmail and YouTube to validate transactions on its network. Polygon highlighted the tech firm’s reputation for security and reliability as an asset for providing an added layer of protection for users. 5 cryptocurrencies to keep an eye on in 2023

Image
Analysts expect the bear market to loosen its grip in 2023. Here are five cryptocurrencies to keep an eye on. It has been a tumultuous year for the crypto investors who have witnessed the total crypto market capitalization tumble from about $2.2 trillion at the beginning of 2022 to about $850 billion in December. The sharp erosion in valuation was caused due to several high-profile bankruptcies in 2022. The entire Terra ecosystem imploded with the collapse of its LUNA token and TerraUSD (UST) stablecoin. The failure of Three Arrows Capital followed this black swan event, and the final blow came as FTX underwent a bank run and imploded. These back-to-back events triggered a liquidity and credit crunch and appear to have caused the most damage to the crypto industry. A prolonged bear market tends to test investors’ patience, but it offers one of the best opportunities to buy fundamentally sound cryptocurrencies at lower levels. Smart investors who can go against the herd and invest duri...
